I Lost My Visa Card

Last week I received an email from a reader who wanted to know if I lost my visa card with Visa in Malaysia. He had lost his card when he went out and purchased a holiday package using his credit card. He wanted to return the card but could not because it was damaged. I explained to him that the cards were not supposed to be returned so he should call the exchange company to try and get his money back.

A few days later, I received another email from the same reader. He was not happy at all. He wanted to sue me for breach of contract because the company he purchased the gift card from had sent him the incorrect card. This company was not his only purchase with this company. He had also bought items using his credit card at their store.

The first thing I did was to check the mailing address for the contact number. I found that it was with the United States Postal Service. Then I called them up. The customer representative told me that my card had been lost due to an error. She told me that I needed to send them a claim form so that they can check with the credit card companies.

I called the company on the telephone and was again told that my cards were lost due to an error. Again, the customer representative told me that I needed to send them a claim form so that they could check with the credit card companies. I asked her if she could give me the name of the credit card companies. She did tell me but only gave me the generic names. I then called the four credit card companies and asked them if they had the same Visa card.

The one card that I did receive was from American Express. The other cards were mailed to me. They told me that they had received the letters from American Express and had sent out claims for the items that I had not received. I then went on the computer and tried to find the address of the company from which I had my Visa card.

I was able to find the address by searching through the phone directory under Visa/MasterCard. I filed a claim and my Visa card was eventually returned to me. I learned that it was easy to lose a temporary visa card but hard to lose a permanent one. It took me a few tries but I found a way to get my Visa back and I will never make that mistake again.

What to Do If You Lost Your VISA Card

A few years back I received a lovely Visa card with a gift card for a local restaurant. For some reason, the Visa card was lost in transit. I used the card to buy something from the local restaurant. I didn’t realize that you could actually get a lost Visa card and then use it for something else like going on vacation or shopping online or whatever. You can actually get a lost Visa card and then use it again!

Of course, I had to get my lost Visa card again. That is when I learned about lost Visa cards. The great thing about these cards is that you can usually get them replaced for free. Of course, sometimes you have to send them back but that is usually a very minor problem. To me though, this is one of the coolest things ever!

If you lost your Visa card, don’t worry about sending it back. You can just get another one! And if you really think about it, who wouldn’t want a second chance on something as important as a lost Visa card? take care of your lost Visa card.
